Shazam Inspired Audio Identification System

An audio fingerprinting and identification system inspired by Wang’s “An Industrial-Strength Audio Search Algorithm” (2003). The system extracts distinctive spectral features, generates compact hashes from constellation patterns, and matches query audio efficiently against a reference database. Tested on a subset of the GTZAN dataset, the system achieved around 70% accuracy, highlighting genre-dependent differences in identification performance.
